Terms of Use

Clear rules for learning on Sythra — what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you as a member of the community.

Last updated July 22, 2026

01

Agreement to terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sythra, including our website, applications, courses, labs, projects, AI tutoring, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Sythra.

02

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Platform. If you are using Sythra on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

03

Accounts & security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Do not share your account or use another person’s account without permission.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
04

Using the platform

Sythra grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial learning unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Course materials, labs, and project templates are provided for educational use. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute Platform content outside the features we explicitly provide.

05

Your content & submissions

You retain ownership of code, projects, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Sythra a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as needed to operate the Platform — including running tests, providing feedback, and showing your progress to you.

If you connect GitHub or submit repositories, you represent that you have the rights to share that code and that it does not violate third-party licenses or confidentiality obligations.

06

AI features

AI tutoring, validation, and explanation features are provided “as is” for learning support. Outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for production use.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated feedback and for any code you run or deploy. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

07

Intellectual property

Sythra and its licensors own the Platform, branding, course structure, UI, and proprietary materials, excluding your User Content.

Our name, logo, and trademarks may not be used without prior written permission except as allowed by applicable law or with clear attribution we approve.

08

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, attack, or disrupt the Platform or execution infrastructure.
  • Upload malware, exploit code runners, or attempt to access other users’ data.
  • Harass, impersonate, or post unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Use automated means to create accounts, scrape content, or bypass usage limits (including AI rate limits).
  • Misrepresent submission results, plagiarize work, or violate academic integrity policies applicable to your institution.
  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of third-party terms (including GitHub’s terms when linking repositories).
09

Subscriptions & payments

Some features may require a paid subscription in the future. Pricing, billing cycles, and refund rules will be shown at checkout and incorporated into these Terms when purchases become available.

Until paid plans launch, access may be offered free of charge or by invitation at our discretion.

10

Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free grading, specific learning outcomes, or job placement. Educational content may become outdated as the field of machine learning evolves.

11

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYTHRA AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

12

Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if we discontinue the service.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

13

Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
